Car Camping – the escape shuttle to your personal cutting edge getaways
If you love the outdoors like we do, you probably look for ways to get to your favorite places without lugging everything around – the solution is car camping. 
Car camping provides a great way to travel and you can take any equipment with you so that you can participate in your favorite activities, whether you are going hiking, looking to do some salt water fishing at the beach, freshwater fishing in the cool mountain streams, whitewater rafting or cooking out and telling stories by the campfire.
Although the term is car camping, it actually refers to any automobile that is used to travel to a campground or campsite. The benefit of this is that you can travel farther distances into remote areas for a more memorable outing. Regardless of your preference, there is something for everyone .
Hiking
We found that one of the most favorite past times for car campers is going on day hikes. Hikers love a challenge. The challenge is greatly improved by car camping because more time is spent on the hike to the location rather than the hike in and the hike out.

Whitewater Rafting
Whitewater rafting is a perfect weekend getaway for car camping. Get to your location, set up your tent, enjoy the evening and then set off the following morning for a day of whitewater rafting. When you return that afternoon, simply get a fire going at your site, cook up a meal from one of our delicious camping recipes and relax under the stars and the evening sky.
Fishing
We love fishing so we have put together some information about both salt water fishing and fresh water fishing. Fresh water fishing is usually from a stream, lake or pond and our favorite location is found in the mountains! We start by car camping to our site and then backpacking to our specific location.
